For students without a recognised degree, or those looking for a solid foundation, the CGIUKI Certificate in Corporate Compliance & Governance is the ideal starting point.
The certificate offers:
- A clear introduction to governance, compliance, risk and organisational structures
- Practical understanding of how governance works in real organisations
- A Level 4 qualification (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree)
- A flexible nine-month structure designed to fit around full-time work and personal commitments
Students completing the Certificate can progress to the CGIUKI Qualifying Programme or the MSc Governance (with five years of relevant work experience), making this a valuable stepping stone for anyone beginning their governance career.
Route 2: Advancing your career – the MSc Governance
For students with a recognised degree, or progressing from the Certificate with experience, the MSc Governance offers a deeper, more advanced route into the profession.

- Dual qualification: an MSc plus CGI Graduate (GradCG) status
- Delivered fully online over two years
- Guest lectures, practical insights and real-work case studies
- A supportive learning environment capped at 25 students per intake
