Susan Wallace

Susan tutors the Company Compliance and Administration module on the CGI Qualifying Programme, in addition to two of the modules on the Certificate in Corporate Compliance and Governance. Drawing on her own experience as a Company Secretary in the professional services sector, Susan encourages her students to stay curious, be a technical expert and continue to seek new governance challenges.  

Susan is also KCB’s Employer Liaison, helping to strengthen KCB’s relationship with industry, by supporting both employers and students to ensure KCB stays current and continues to provide relevant practical support in governance education.

Susan is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and an experienced governance professional with a long-standing career in company secretarial practice. She is the Author of the ICSA Company Secretary’s Troubleshooter (3rd edition, 2012) and a regular contributor to technical updates and industry publications.

Susan began her career in legal and accountancy practices, including Evershed and KPMG in Hong Kong. Susan co-founded Bruce Wallace Associates in 2013, providing outsourced company secretarial services to a wide range of listed and unlisted companies. She advises boards on UK governance and regulatory matters, technical restricting, share issues, and the administration of incentive plans.

Susan is a proud alumna of KCB, where she completed her Chartered Governance Institute studies.

  • The sessions with Susan were very structured and covered the study main topics. Using Padlet and having a limited time to draft answers is excellent practice for the exam. I also found reading other students’ answers helpful and has helped me with structuring my answers.
